Do you remember?

Does anyone remember The Cosmicals™ franchise?

Stelle and Lune, together at last Stelle and Lune, together at last

The Cosmicals™ was a space-themed greetings card franchise that had a brief period of success during the late 90s to early 2000s. It spawned tons of merchandise and media throughout the height of its popularity, but for a multitude of reasons, much of it is forgotten today. Preserving the content of this franchise was never properly conducted, and much of it is lost media. That is what we want to do.

One day, my sister, Lacey asked,
“Hey Stacy, you remember that star and moon office cartoon we watched as kids?”
And I said, “Yeah. What of it?”
“Apparently it’s lost media now.”
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT’S LOST MEDIA???”

I’m going to mainly be talking about the most beloved iteration of the franchise: The Cosmicals (1999-2002) cartoon. It is the most remembered iteration of The Cosmicals. With the franchise being as obscure as it already is, it will be hard to find documentings of content that came before it or the failed reboot that came after it.

Me and my sister used to watch The Cosmicals (1999-2002) as kids on one of our local channels. To our surprise, though, it turns out it wasn’t even supposed to be a kids show. While The Cosmicals looked like a franchise for children, the actual episodes were catered towards older audiences. As it turns out, this had made the show and franchise significantly harder to market at that time, which led to its premature cancellation and fall into obscurity. Rumor has it that it was cut short at around only two seasons, though many more episodes were planned.
